HP Support Assistant helps keep your HP computer in working order by finding updates and providing troubleshooting tools. Most HP computers come with HP Support Assistant. Click the app icon in the taskbar, or search Windows for a support assistant to open the tool. The HP Support Assistant is recommended for all HP computers to assist with computer maintenance, software upgrades, troubleshooting problems, and many other options Uninstalling HP Support Assistant In Windows, search for an open Uninstalls program. On the Programs and Features window, select HP Support Assistant, then click Uninstall. Click Yes on the Programs and Features screen to confirm you want to uninstall HP Assistant Support. Restart your computer to complete the process.

The HP Wireless Assistant status icon can be found in the taskbar. To open the HP Wireless Assistant, right-click the icon, and then select the Open Wireless Assistant option. If the HP Wireless Assistant application is installed but the icons are not displayed, change the settings by performing the following steps. Click Start , select Control Panel, and then click Network and Internet. Click HP Wireless Assistant to open a window that lists all the installed wireless devices. The status of each device is displayed. Click the Properties button. NOTE: If the HP Wireless Assistant is not listed in Network and Internet, see the section on Installing HP Wireless Assistant. On the Settings screen, select the Show HP Wireless Assistant icon in the notification area option. Select or deselect other options as desired, and then click the Apply button to accept the changes.
