Plot summary
The film is set in Mumbai, where Rajib (Palash Sen) works for a multinational company and Ananya (Ira Dubey) works as a receptionist at a private firm. They have a three-year-old daughter named Kuhi (Prisha Dabbas), who is taken care of by Pakhi (Kymsleen Kholie), their domestic help. Pakhi is from Assam, Rajib's hometown, and shares a bond of innocence and pure emotions with Kuhi. Rajib and Ananya decide to take a break from their hectic life and visit Golaghat in Assam, where Rajib's parents live. There they meet Nalia Kai (Yashpal Sharma), who works as a helper at Rajib's house. Nalia Kai introduces Kuhi to a new world of nature, where she sees trees, birds, greenery, paddy fields, and animals. She realizes the contrast between the concrete jungle of Mumbai and the natural environment of Assam. She also learns that trees provide oxygen to humans and wonders why there are so few trees in Mumbai. She questions the scarcity of nature in urban areas and expresses her fear that one day people will not have air to breathe.
